    If you are frequently getting clogs, you can program the vacuum to return to the base and empty itself every, say, 30 minutes or so and that would solve that problem

    Really detailed and thorough review. I just received this vacuum at the beginning of this month and I love it. My first robot vacuum so I had to manage my expectations in comparison to an upright and it's limitations. I love the ability to schedule runs when I'm at work as well as the easy access to the filters for maintenance purposes. Plus I like the fact that their are no bags to purchase. Again great video.

    Sounds like a lawn mower. Also it looks like the base does not self empty the robot very good compared to others.

      The noise level is actually not bad except the base empty process that has also been outstanding 👏 I truly think this is a great product. Price to features it really can't be beat at this point
      But still more 2023models to test😉

    Has anyone tried to save the floor plan configuration on the Matrix or other Shark model from your phone to the hard drive on your lap top or desk top computer( i.e. first floor). Then re-configure a lower level or upstairs plan on the robot by deleting the (first floor one) and then save it as well on the hard drive. Then choose which to re-load back into the robot - allowing both or all three to be mapped in a file on your hard drive so you could switch from one to the other depending on which floor you wanted to vacuum and download to your phone and back onto the robot? I understand from the u-tube videos that the robot app can only hold one configuration at a time.

    Thanks. I am working through using my robot for the first time, and finding that most of the room maps are slightly wrong. After watching the robot, I edit the rooms and "move" the walls. Trial and error, I guess. But no videos talk about this. Any thoughts?

    Great video…mind just arrived today but I noticed it came with 2 side brushes but I only see 1 spot on my shark for it. It’s it a faulty unit?

      Late reply; however, if anyone new is watching, they've updated some of their vacuums, and there is only one spot for the brush. They made that change in late 2022 or early 2023.
      I purchased the Shark - AI Ultra Robot Vacuum RV2502AE with XL HEPA Self-Empty Base, LIDAR Navigation in 2022. At the time of purchase last year, it had two spots for the side brushes. I had it clean my first-level hardwood floors at least twice daily. I have a German shepherd that sheds a lot. That vacuum stopped working earlier this year; after reaching out to Shark's customer support, the rep that assisted me determined it needed to be replaced. Shark replaced that for me in April 2023. When I received the replacement, I noticed they'd made a few upgrades, including the brushes. Instead of two spots, the upgraded unit now only has one location for the brush. However, they included two brushes. The second brush is a replacement. It should indicate that there is only one side brush within the manual.
      I purchased a second unit last week. I bought the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 Robot Self-Empty XL. I bought it for its mopping feature, and it also only has one spot for the side brushes. I've set this unit to only mop the floors, and I have it scheduled to mop five hours after the first Shark vacuums.
      I'm delighted with both units. Both robots stay on top of the hair and do an excellent job keeping our place spotless. I check the units every few days. Although the unit states 60 days, I find with the amount that our Shepherd sheds, I'm changing the large dustbin a few times weekly. I have no complaints. I last used my Shark upright vacuum over a year ago. That's how great a job my Shark Robots have done. I don't have any carpet.

    When I empty my shark dirt bin all the dust and dirt fly back up in the air. I wish they used a bag.

Since I only empty mine once a month or so I empty in my outside trash so I don't get it in the Air or on the floor. Some one told me years ago to empty my vacuum outside and I was like you know what great idea😊

      Thank you for watching and subscribing I'm thankful for your support 💯 You can not add with the scan features but you can use it For the other floors: after the robot returns to the docking station (on the floor to use the app on), turn off the robot then carry it to another floor. Then, set it on the floor, and turn the robot power switch back on.       I agree that it can definitely use a size increase 👍 It has done a great job with the empty and continue feature turned on. It truly is mind-boggling how it leaves a section to go empty and literally comes back to the exact pinpoint location it left and starts again. Me and my wife were just watching it yesterday just happened to catch it in that portion and it was pretty cool. We were betting it would not find the correct spot lol but it did

    Great vacuum, Crappy app. Cant get it to connect to my WiFi even though we have several laptops, cell phones tv's and many other devices all connected. Rebooted router, shark and phone. It is a worthless app that does not work. They wont build a PC app so it was worthless. Took it back tp COSTCO for a refund. If I cant program it then its not worth anything to me.

      @@JbTechFanatic I cannot get it setup and would greatly appreciate your help. I've gone through the setup several times, I think I'm doing all the steps. In the app I get to the screen where the app is going to connect to my Shark but nothing happens, e.g. it fails to connect. On my phone, when I scan my network I see the shark. My son has the same unit, he has tried to connect it and gets the same results.

      What is likely happening is you are on your 5ghz wifi and you need to be on your 2.4ghz.. first take your vaccum and plug it in and dock in the room your router is. Next make sure you allow all permissions in the shark app including location. Now go into you wifi menu connect to your 2.4ghz network and click auto reconnect in your phones menu. Make sure your 5ghz auto connection is set to off. Also in your router settings make sure it is set to allow new items to connect and that the security is set to WPA2 not WPA3. Now try setting it up it should work
